Research in Music Education, Cognition, and Society

Music will develop its strategy toward enhancing research in musical sociology and cognition underlying educational policy and practices in Hong Kong, China, and Asia. This will amplify recent project successes linking scholarly studies with public engagement: we have brought popular music of multiple cultures into the Hong Kong school music curriculum, and we aim to further coordinate these efforts in the future via internal collaboration and external partnerships.
